This one is making silly faces at mom 🤪 “not gonna do what you asked me to do mom. instead, I will stick my tongue out at you and make you laugh.” I mean, how can you not help but giggle! She’s adorable, even when she’s having a hard time.

Waiting impatiently for daddy to get home from work with our faces pressed up against the window after quite the day... week? 2 weeks?? I’ve lost count since every day feels the same 😆 We of course will stay home for the health and safety of us and others, but can I be honest? She’s only hamming it up for the camera in the shot spending the rest of the day (and past couple of weeks for that matter) screaming and yelling constantly. She’s used to her school routine and loves it and she thrives there! She’s also a social butterfly... hmmm... i wonder where she gets that from! I know it’s an adjustment for everyone! And I’ll fake a smile until I feel it inside 😂 This is a shout-out to all the amazing teachers and therapists she has in her life right now who work day in and day out with her! You all are amazing human beings!

Daydreaming of warm summer days and being outside! • I took this photo of Berni on Sunday this past weekend. The sun was warm and glowing on her peaches and cream colored cheeks. She loves exploring the world outside and always ready for an adventure. It gives me a moment to experience the world as she sees it, even slowing down time momentarily. She played with this little daisy for awhile until moving onto the clovers and then running down the street 😆 There is a lot going on in the world right now, isn’t there?! I’m taking it moment by moment over here and thanking God for this beautiful gift of a human being, grumpiness and all. • New post up, link in the profile ☀️

Life looks different these days doesn’t it! Thankful for all the tools out there to help this non-homeschooling mama figure it out. Thanks @wethrivehere for the book reading and painting tutorial this morning! My girls loved it!

Of course we love celebrating World Down syndrome day BUT we also love celebrating 12 years of marriage 🎉🎉🎉 we’ve lived a lot of life these past 12 years! And this anniversary will go down as one of the craziest 😜 someday we will look back and say “remember that anniversary we spent sheltering in place?!” Making the most of our day and being thankful for sunshine and getting to bring home take out from one of all time favorite Thai noodle places in town! Sure, it’s not what we had planned but we are rollin with it! Love you, babe!
